Hall is uncle to Todd Youngblood, the founder and President of Chili Technology, a subsidiary of T2 International. Before ChiliPad cooling and heating mattress pad, Todd and Tara came up with EZ Bed, which was a commercial success. EZ Bed is an air guest bed that automatically inflates and deflates. After its success, Todd and Tara moved on to coming up with a product similar to the water bed that regulates the core body temperature of the sleeper. They wanted to not just only heat, but also cool the body of the user when necessary.
Then, ChiliPad was born. The product was released in the market, and is so far gaining positive reviews from customers. ChiliPad started changing customer's lives from the time it was first sold. This prompted the Youngbloods to further innovate.
Chili Technology now has ChiliBed, and ChiliCloud pillows. The company also offers other accessory products such as water extension tubes for the ChiliPad and ChiliBed, and Sheex cooling bedsheet. Recently, Chili Technology launched its new and improved ChiliPad which they called ChiliPad Cube 1.1. Customers immediately noticed the difference of this new version from the earlier ones.
According to verified Amazon buyer Courtney Marshall, ChiliPad Cube 1.1's control unit is quieter than the earlier version. This control unit, also called the "cube," emits 40-decibel soft white noise that could further make the sleepers relax and doze off easily. In addition, Marshall also noted the quicker cooling/heating time of the mattress pad. He said that it now cools/heats in seconds; no more waiting time to get on the bed.
Another customer mentioned in his Amazon review that the new ChiliPad has automatic shutoff after 10 hours of continuous use. Aside from the aforementioned improvements, the new ChiliPad still has the same electricity consumption as the earlier models. It also still has the same other benefits on sleep that the previous versions had.
