The DIA project is called DEN Real Estate and is one of a number of similar projects in the works from Detroit to Dubai, with planned development that extends outward from the airport. It's designed to obtain economically efficient, attractive and sustainable growth.
The project will foster more entrepreneurship and employment opportunities, but it will also increase the number of people coming into contact with one another and the potential for spreading disease and illness. It's a legitimate concern as world travel continues to expand in response to the search for greater revenues and more antibiotic resistant bacteria continue to surface.
