(Health-NewsWire.Net, April 20, 2015 ) Dunblane, Perthshire -- Author Linda Hehir, of In & Out Health, worked in health services for 40 years and has studied and practised acupuncture and energy medicines for the last 15 years, culminating with her Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture from the Northern College of Acupuncture in York, England. Using this knowledge was very satisfying, says Hehir, as it helped so many of her clients.
Hehir now wants the public to share some of this knowledge of self-help techniques with everyone. and her book, "How to alleviate your Musculoskeletal Pain Using Trigger Point Relief Technique" (published by AuthorHouse UK), which contains self help techniques, illustrates and provides information on how to relieve pain using finger pressure (acupressure) on trigger points. In her book, Hehir discusses the various common trigger points throughout the body and what kind of pain they can bring about. She then describes how to properly apply acupressure to these points in order to alleviate pain. There's also information on what signs to look out for regarding certain areas and when one should seek medical or professional help. The book also provides information on stretching techniques to be used to avoid further trigger point pain. Hehir hopes that her book will educate readers on what she believes to be an underutilized medicine and that her book can help others find pain relief and escape from their pain.
An excerpt from "How to alleviate your Musculoskeletal Pain Using Trigger Point Relief Technique": "During the natural course of our daily activities we can put a great deal of stress on our bodies. Much of this stress can affect the flexibility of our skeletal muscles, whether it is from sports, work activities, over-stretching, repetitive actions or emotional and psychologically traumatising events in our lives."
Since writing the book Hehir says she found and is now using a mini massager to help relieve muscle pain and believes many people will find using the Mini Instant Massager of great benefit day to day stiffness, aches and pains and helpful for more chronic types of muscle pain. Hehir adds that an excerpt of her book is provided to customers on purchase and shipping of the Massager.
