(Health-NewsWire.Net, April 22, 2015 ) Titusville, FL -- An extensive desktop research was done to look for products similar to ChiliPad Cube, which is a mattress pad that both cools and heats the bed and the core body temperature of the sleeper depending on his/her preference. It was found that the two things close to it are cooling gel pads that are non-electronic and cannot heat up when necessary, and electric blankets that are found to emit extremely low electromagnetic frequencies (ELF).
ChiliPad Cube's history can be traced back to the 1960's when Charles Hall, Todd Youngblood's uncle invented the water bed. Todd Youngblood is the founder and president of Chili Technology LLC, a subsidiary of T2 International. The water bed is the first sleep equipment that tried to change the sleep temperature for a rejuvenating rest. If the user does not heat the water bed, it would be too cold to sleep in.

The water cools or heats depending on the setting of the control unit, and depending on the flow of the electrons of the water inside the tubes, the mattress pad heats or cools.
Last 2014, Chili Technology released the newest version of ChiliPad, which is the ChiliPad Cube 1.1. Avid fans of ChiliPad noted the following enhancements: the control unit (cube) is quieter, cooling/heating time is faster, and automatic shut-off after 10 hours of continuous use. Aside from the aforementioned improvements, the new ChiliPad still has the same low electric consumption as the earlier models. It also still has the same other benefits on sleep that the previous versions had, such as non-emission of ELFs.
