Followers of the page will find inspiring yoga photos, tips, informational articles, quotes, and much more having to do with the art and practice of yoga. The page will also include announcements of new products from Ganesha as well as special promotions and offers.
"Our company is named after the Hindu deity Ganesha, who is the ‘remover of all obstacles,' so we wanted to create a Facebook community surrounding the idea of yoga allowing people to overcome obstacles and perceived limits in their lives," says Ganesha social media manager Amanda Divine.
The page was officially opened on April 7, 2015, and the content thus far contained on the page includes a blog post about how yoga helped one woman quit smoking, a National Geographic article about how yoga can promote long-term recovery in breast cancer patients, and a video of one yoga instructor's morning yoga routine.
The most recent post is a graphic of a sun salutation series paired with the quote from U.S. Navy admiral Bill McRaven, "If you make your bed every morning you will have accomplished the first task of the day. It will give you a small sense of pride and it will encourage you to do another task and another and another" and then the comment, "Imagine doing the sun salutation every morning, even before making your bed. Imagine how good you will feel and what you could accomplish."
