(Health-NewsWire.Net, May 11, 2015 ) Foley, Alabama -- The Vegan Street Fair was celebrated on March 1, 2015 in Los Angeles, California. This was the first ever Vegan Street Fair on the said area. It was held at the streets of Bakman and Weddington in North Hollywood. The streets were closed off and months in advance the organizers filed consent to the authorities and were given approval to conduct the event. In the morning, over fifty vendors have participated and set-up each of their organic products for exhibition purposes.
Authorities like the Board of Health and the Fire Department team inspected the area to ensure the safety of the attendees.
There were DJs who played music and entertainment on the area which drove more crowds on the street. At 11:30 am food ticket booths opened and by 12pm the organic food stands began serving continuously until 6 pm.
For some reasons, rain and hail storm came with major downpours after around 6 pm. There were reports that hail pellets were like lentils pouring down from a cylindrical serving vessel in the sky. Though the weather was unlikely, some of the attendees complained but some danced and sang in the middle of rain and hail.
The event's main goal is to promote organic products, Non-GMO food, heirloom seeds, and educate people about vegan sustaining lifestyle. Some of the attendees were non vegan but still enjoyed the vegan recipes and organic food served on the fair. The fair's admission was free and everybody are invited to join. Credits were given to Ken Schoech and Jessica Shay, who were the main organizers who came up with this idea and made the event possible.
The food vendors who exhibited on the area were required to display organic foods that are 100% vegan friendly. The main spotlight was given when Andy Mars started singing in the middle of the street which uplifted the people's spirit, some also get the chance to sing along with him.
"What an amazing first Vegan Street Fair it was. I don't know if we can ever top it but we sure can try. I can't wait until the second annual Vegan Street Fair." Marc Bernstein said who was also a participant of the event.
Other group like Victory Gardens also promote 100% organic products and heirloom seeds. These organics can be classified in different varieties at amazon.
