(Health-NewsWire.Net, May 13, 2015 ) QUEENSLAND, Australia -- Lorraine Enright was only a child when she first realised how difficult life was for her mother. As Lorraine grew, she noticed how differently people treated her mother, who suffered from a mental illness. She always felt people didn't understand the mental illness, and were quick to label her mum because she didn't connect lucidly with her 'mechanical mind'.
"I could see and understand that my mum felt frustrated, confused and hurt that nobody listened to her, and just labelled her as 'crazy'," says Lorraine. "She was given so many thoughts, energies and senses to deal with in jumbles - she felt completely overwhelmed by living in the present moment. And that's when society automatically thought there was something wrong with her."
"Before my mother passed, everyone knew her as a sick lady. But they didn't understand that she was a human being, and she was quite intelligent. They didn't understand she had her own experiences and teachings to share. The world missed out on her story because they didn't accept her for who she truly was." www.certitudelifecoaching.com.au
According to Lorraine, it's important for people to be connected positively to who they are, as it's crucial to an individual's development and relationships with others. But the notion of self-love can be difficult to learn and accept, as many find it foreign or uncomfortable. www.certitudelifecoaching.com.au
"Learning how to love yourself really is the key. We attract things in our lives from our thought processes, so if you're accepting of all of your qualities - be it a strength or weakness - and love the person you are, you will receive love in return," Lorraine says. "It really fascinates me how people store and filter information with only their mechanical mind. Even though the heart is the most powerful organ in the body, we still work mechanically from our minds in the sense that, we often don't experience living in the present moment because our brain is constantly thinking about what's coming next. We need to learn how to stop overthinking and start feeling."
As the founder and director of Certitude Life Coaching, a solution focused coaching company that reconnects people with their hearts, Lorraine sees her purpose as making a difference to those ready to take ownership and responsibility of their own self-worth.
