After completely selling out of their first design, the "HoneyComb Series," Smiley Case has decided to discontinue the line in order to pursue a design set that not only protects the user's iPhone but also inspires them in a unique way. This decision was made in order for the company to stay true to its values.
The new series is called the "KettleBell Series." Each case is designed in a matte black finish with a distressed kettle bell symbol emblazoned on the back. Although the case itself is made up of black, rubberized TPU and polycarbonate construction, the kettle bell symbol is brightly colored in red, yellow, or purple. The contrast allows for each case to stand out and be easily noticed, which is the case and point for why it was designed so boldly.
Jack Wilson, a member of the Smiley Case design team, noted that the purpose of the KettleBell Series was to provide a functional and sturdy case that could also inspire people to get active. He says, "The kettle bell is a symbol that represents the dedication a person must have to themselves in order to live a healthy and active lifestyle." Jack also notes that the design is not for everyone, "many people won't understand what is so special about the kettle bell symbol but for those that are living that active lifestyle, the ones that make tough decisions and do what other people won't, that's the person this case is designed for."
