Hansen Kids, LLC , brings you a new premium diaper that is better for your baby & for the planet
(Health-NewsWire.Net, June 04, 2015 ) Rockford, Michigan -- It is no secret that infants and children are very delicate and should be handled with utmost care. While parents give their best efforts to provide the finest choices for their children, some may still unknowingly expose their child/ren to harmful elements, particularly to chemicals that are used in manufacturing baby products.
Hansen Kids, LLC, a company dedicated to providing baby and environmentally safe alternatives – starting off with bamboo diapers, reminds consumers to make reading and researching a habit.
"It would take us a little time to research about every baby product that we intend to buy and find out if they contain toxic chemicals, but believe it or not, this simple act can save your baby from harmful elements that may damage his/her body for life," says Jessica Hansen, mom of four and co-owner of Hansen Kids, LLC.
Some harmful and unnecessary chemicals are quite easy to spot in buying baby products. While all these unnecessary chemicals pose risks to babies' health, Dioxins are among the highly toxic ones that Hansen Kids, LLC particularly aims to warn the public about.
"There are many baby products in the market today that claims to be free of some pretty nasty chemicals such as BPA, phthalates, dyes, fragrances, etc., and a lot of health conscious consumers have already chosen this toxic free route," says Jessica Hansen.
"However, not all chemicals are listed as it is. Dioxins, for one are known to be super-toxic chemicals and some baby products may possibly contain it," Hansen adds.
Hansen explains that dioxins is not just one type of chemical but are a class of potent carcinogens or in other words, cancer-causing agents. Dioxins refer to hundreds of chemicals, out of which about 30 are of high toxicity.
Although, consumers may not find its chemical name on an ingredient listing, partly for the reason that Dioxins are not made on purpose but are created as a byproduct of industrial processes, Hansen Kids, LLC warns the public that dioxin can possibly be present in some baby products particularly in chlorine-bleached items.
Scientific tests show that exposure to even the tiniest amount of Dioxins cause damage, and the human body has no defense against it. Aside from the body not being able to counter these toxic chemicals, Dioxins are also said to stay in the victim's body throughout the lifetime.
"To a child's delicate body, exposure to dioxins will impede their immune system," Hansen says. "Aside from weakening the immune system; developmental problems, major hormonal imbalances may also be attributed to Dioxins, and worst cancer," Hansen explains.
The company reminds consumers to try and learn more about these toxic chemicals and make sure that their little ones aren't exposed to any of these. A lot of products have safer counterparts and most of them do point out their being toxic chemical free so the Hansens encourage the public to go with these better alternatives.
Jessica Hansen leaves a short but important message / reminder to consumers as a final note, "For baby bottles and plastic toys, go for BPA free; for baby wipes, go chlorine and fragrance-free; for baby powders, there are talc-free ones; and for baby diapers go for phthalates, latex and chlorine-free. These are just the basics but if every parent could learn more about these toxic chemicals, then we might just save every baby from these harmful elements."
