Interceptive orthodontic treatments may begin when they're needed. "It's important for a pediatric dentist to assess the child's bite and arrangement of the teeth," explains Dr. Lamba. "With interceptive orthodontic treatments, more serious problems can be averted or minimized in the future."
According to Dr. Lamba, these interceptive treatments offer a lot of benefits for children in Lynwood. "They can create some space for crowded erupted teeth, and reserve some room for the teeth that haven't erupted yet," asserts Dr. Lamba. "These treatments reduce the chances of trauma to the teeth and the need for tooth removal, and they also shorten the treatment time for future orthodontic treatments."
