(Health-NewsWire.Net, June 17, 2015 ) Vancouver, BC -- The Mexican Gourmet, an authentic server of Mexican gourmet dishes in Vancouver, recently announced that they are featuring diverse meat choices for their numerous gourmet dishes. "While The Mexican Gourmet has always been lauded by our patrons for our great service and affordable prices, it's the authentic flavor and freshness of the ingredients that have established our reputation among the foodie community in Vancouver," admits Heriberto Galindo, the Chef of The Mexican Gourmet. "We always strive for authenticity, which is more reflected in our meat choices."
The meat choices include the Mexican Pulled Pork known as "Cochinita Pibil". This is the tasty Mexican dish that originated from the Yucatán peninsula. Another is the Chicken Pibil, which is delicious chicken grilled and braised in homemade Achiote Marinade. Others may like the Beef Tinga, which is a traditional braised beefsteak with sautéed onions in mild Salsa Roja. Some may instead go for the Carne Asada, which is comprised of thin slices of marinated and grilled beefsteak.
"For those craving a vegetarian burrito or a Baja style taco, the recommended meat option is the Baja Style Zucchini," adds Galindo. "This is zucchini that's been flash fried and then seasoned with lime and sea salt."
Many of the dishes offered in The Mexican Gourmet in Port Coquitlam allow the patron to choose their meat option. For example, the "Torta" Sandwich combines a choice of meat with beans, pickled onions, melted cheese, and guacamole on an Artisan Bun. This is served with rice and salad.
The tacos are especially popular, as the meat is combined on white corn tortillas with Salsa Verde, fresh salsa, and pickled onions. Others favor the Tostadas, and you get three per order. "With our tostadas, the meat is combined on a flat crispy corn tortilla with lettuce, fresh salsa, beans, pickled onions, cheese, and Mexican sour cream," explains Galindo.
The enchiladas combine the chosen meat with a topping of salsa verde, mole sauce or roja, sour cream, and melted cheese. These are served with a side of Mexican red rice and beans.
The Kid's Menu dishes are served with a side or red rice, a choice between beans or salad, and a glass of apple juice. "We have a special treat for kids, too," adds Galindo. In The Mexican Gourmet, kids and adults alike can truly enjoy the dining experience. For further information, contact The Mexican Gourmet.
