(Health-NewsWire.Net, June 18, 2015 ) Fairhope, AL -- Earlier chamomile tea was well-known for combating ailments and illnesses, but according to a new research drinking chamomile tea can assist women live longer as well. According to the research, daily consuming chamomile can lead to a longer lifespan for elder Mexican-American women. The study found that in the older Mexican-American women consuming chamomile tea, the risk of death during the research period was cut down by about 28 %.
“Consuming chamomile tea is very beneficial to the overall health of the Mexican-American women”, said a spokesperson of Teasy Teas, a leading and well-known providers of large varieties of tea. The whole study was focused on the potential link between drinking chamomile tea and the longer lifespan. However, it was also found that consuming chamomile tea doesn’t affect the men’s mortality rate or lifespan. The study didn’t prove any cause-and-effect relationship. Chamomile, a herb is basically a backbone of the alternative medicine, and many doctors usually suggest it for treating several conditions such as stomach ache and cramps.
When research was further evaluated according to several factors like smoking, age or some chronic health conditions, it was found that the odds of dying through the research period was cut down by 1/4th in women drinking chamomile. Still the researchers are tracking the older Mexican-Americans to know more about the link between chamomile and longer lifespan.
