(Health-NewsWire.Net, July 07, 2015 ) Lodi, WI -- Lodi, WI based company, CS Athletic Gear recently announced a project to help those interested in foam muscle rollers learn how to best utilize their muscle rollers. While a significant amount of information currently exists on the internet regarding specific uses of foam rollers, it all appears to be piecemeal. One has to search all around for specific posts about specific uses. The only apparent way to access comprehensive information about using foam muscle rollers is to purchase a roller from a company that includes with the sale an e-book or user guide as a value add.
That status does not sit well with the maker of the leading premium foam roller, Muscle Mower, whose mission it is to provide athletes of all types with the best in athletic support, recovery and training tools. Instead, CS Athletic Gear believes that knowledge should be open and shared, available for anyone who wants to get better use out of their foam roller.
According to the owner and CEO of the veteran owned small business, Cliff Arthur, sharing that information is an essential part of fulfilling the company mission, even if people aren't paying for it. Arthur refers to it as a "value upfront" philosophy, as opposed to a "value added" approach. As he recently explained on the Muscle Mower Facebook page, "For us, that means being directly upfront about what the Muscle Mower is and how it works, before, during, and after the sale. Sure, some people might use the information to enhance their experience with some other roller. If that helps them, terrific, but they won't find a better quality experience than with the Muscle Mower. We guarantee it!"
The Muscle Mower user library compilation is currently in progress, and can be accessed by going to Facebook and searching for #HowToMuscleMower. Currently, information is available under that hashtag regarding general principles of Muscle Mower use, the use of countervailing muscles, IT-Band relief (stiff/sore knees), trapezius muscle relief, relaxing the latissimus dorsi ("lat") muscles, and sciatic nerve/hip relief.
CS Athletic Gear intends to continue to compile information, first in written and picture formats, and then in video formats, eventually making it accessible through multiple channels.
Once complete, the compilation will be distributed for free with the purchase of a Muscle Mower, but it will also be available for free regardless of purchase. "It's all about value upfront," says Arthur. "Here at CS Athletic Gear, that's an essential part of our mission."
