These improvements were in response to user demand, and continued studies of the market. Customer response to the original has indicated overwhelming satisfaction, but requests for improvement of certain aspects of the mask led to the creation of the Amazing Sleep Mask, a second generation sleep mask by PrimeEffects.

One of the updates involves contouring at the bridge of the nose. This is one of the areas that varies most dramatically from person to person, and most solutions in the world of sleep masks are not fully effective. The Amazing Sleep Mask adds a simple yet completely effective "flap" solution at the bridge of the nose that blocks light from entering through that key area. The flap is soft and gentle on the nose, yet works to eliminate light by making contact with all points of that area.
