(Health-NewsWire.Net, August 10, 2015 ) Gibraltar, Gib -- In today's global marketplace, the small companies have to try and offer the same type of products as the big ones, but with far less resources available to them. One of the things that customers will have noticed these days is that whenever they buy something, is that there is an instruction booklet with it covering a number of different languages because products are sold internationally.
This can be an expensive business, as there will be for example, English speakers buying electrical or electronic products for their new home, which might be in Spain. So an instruction book in Spanish might not always be very helpful to them. Large companies produce instruction booklets according to the regions they are selling in and so in Europe, it would be expected by most buyers that their languages would be covered.
TempIR sells its home health care products online in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and Europe. After receiving some customer feedback regarding the instruction manuals for its thermometers and other products being only in English, the company has listened to this and has now produced instructions in other languages.
Sales Manager Aidan Wade said: "We are only a small, family business and so we need to keep our costs down in order to compete with the bigger players out there. When customers asked for information in different languages, we had to make a corporate decision as to whether the number of sales would outweigh the cost of providing what customers wanted."
The solution the company came up with was to update its website so that customers could go on to it and look for the products there. It has been set up to be easy to navigate to the product and then to the Foreign Manuals section for each of them. The customer can then download the one of their choice. These are currently set up in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish in order to cover most of the countries in which they are sold.
This is an excellent example of a small company reading its market correctly and keeping up with the larger ones out there.
