(Health-NewsWire.Net, August 25, 2015 ) Clearwater, Florida -- "Users are responding even better than expected to our updated mask," says PrimeEffects CEO, Philip Jepsen. "The improvements to the mask are based on customer requests, so we did anticipate some interest, but the response we're getting has been very positive."
PrimeEffects first introduced the Sweet Dreams Sleep Mask, which brought several innovations to the sleep mask field. Afterward the company became known for this sleep mask, and in the process gathered a quantity of feedback from its growing customer base. While the Sweet Dreams Sleep Mask was gaining popularity, and selling, Mr. Jepsen saw an opportunity to respond to some of this feedback and improve on the design.
"We wanted to do better," he says. "We had a chance to advance the field and I took it. My goal with this mask has always been the absolute best reduction of external stimuli so you can really sleep."
Key changes that were made include improvements to the strap and the overall contouring and shape of the mask itself. One request customers made was to handle the Velcro used on the strap. On occasion it could get caught in the hair, and while Velcro made sense for fast, easy adjustability, this issue needed to be solved. On the new PrimeEffects Amazing Sleep Mask the Velcro strap was replaced with an advanced slider design, which actually made the mask more adjustable, and easier to adjust.
The mask itself was also enlarged, to cover more of the areas around the eyes and block more light, and in the process better material was used and, though now larger, the mask also now weighs less.
"It's very light and cool on the face," says Mr. Jepsen. "And yet it blocks almost all light."
The Amazing Sleep Mask is available on Amazon.
