(Health-NewsWire.Net, September 05, 2015 ) Vancouver, BC -- Market Meats has announced that they are now an excellent option for Vancouver residents looking for wholesale butcher services in Kitsilano. This announcement aligns with the butcher shop's goal of providing the best meats for their customers. Market Meats has become the go-to Vancouver meat market.
"There are three basic ways to buy meat, and buying a retail cut is only one option," explains Zul Suleman, the West 4th exotic butcher for Market Meats. "Our customers who have home freezers can buy a wholesale cut such as a chuck, loin, rib, or round. They can also buy a whole carcass, or just a side which may include hind or forequarters."
Wholesale buyers can save money by buying a large quantity of meat such as beef. But it all hinges on the dependability of the Kitsilano butcher shop.
"One reason why we're so popular and voted as the best butcher shop on West Vancouver is that we sell the grade, weight, and the amount of meat our customers prefer," reveals Suleman. "It also bolsters our reputation that our establishment is very clean and inspected as well."
Buying wholesale cuts allows customers to pick the retail cuts they prefer. The customer gets to say how the meat is cut up.
"We cut the meat up according to how the customer likes it, although we can help walk the customer through their available choices," says Suleman. "We can cut the steak according to the thickness preferred, we can cut the roast to the size they want, and the unacceptable cuts can be processed into ground meat."
The price of the meat is usually for the hanging weight (the weight as it hangs on the rail in a meat cooler) plus the processing. For beef the rule of thumb is a ¼ waste, ¼ ground beef and stew meat, ¼ in steaks, and ¼ in roasts. "Customers can get some cuts such as the brisket, short ribs, and shank not normally purchased," says the Vancouver premium butcher. "If the customer likes pot roast, we recommend the chuck as a good buy, and if they like steaks they can get porterhouse, T-bone, and the sirloin steaks from the wholesale loin."
Customers, however, must be aware of how much meat their home freezer can hold. Beef can be stored for as long as 9 to 12 months while ground beef can only last 3 to 4 months.
"As a rule, a cubic foot of freezer space can hold 35 to 40 pounds of cut and wrapped meat," explains Suleman. "But they should allow more space if the cut has some odd shapes."
