(Health-NewsWire.Net, September 14, 2015 ) Vancouver, British Columbia -- Last month a Canadian based company started a fun contest as part of their first announcement of the Coconut oil line ‘That Healthy Skin Glow'. The contest was designed to collect stories from the general public about the weirdest purpose they've ever used coconut oil for.
The stories keep rolling in as the contest reaches its half-way point.
Some of the more unique uses Product Manager for Clean Living Health & Beauty Products, William Ladic, discovered in his travels included things like... • Using the oil as a balm for udders. • Freezing the coconut oil in discs and using them as hockey pucks in the winter and • Using the oil as a preventative measure to stop mosquitoes from breeding.
"I found one list that had 333 different uses and benefits of coconut oil." claims Ladic. "When I reviewed that list, I found the ideas about the hockey puck, mosquito birth control and udder balm along with many more! ...These are the kinds of zany, ‘off the beaten path' type uses we're looking for!"
The new Canadian-based company started the contest last month to add some fun to their new product launch. The company is still accepting emails for the ‘weirdest use of coconut oil' stories out there.
The contest wraps up at the end of this month and the winner will be announced on Thursday, September 10th on company's Facebook page. The winner of the contest will win twelve, 16-ounce tubs of the organic oil which is the equivalent of a one-year's supply of their product.
Ladic adds, "Just email us with the words ‘Wacky Coconut Oil Story Contest' in the subject line and email it to contest@healthyskinglow.com. We encourage people to send us their stories along with a maximum of 3 pictures or a YouTube link if they'd prefer to submit a video with the story."
He went on to say that the pictures will help verify the story as something that actually happened and will increase the submitter's chances of winning. It should also be noted that they limit entries to ‘one-submission-per-person.
