(Health-NewsWire.Net, November 21, 2015 ) Miami, FL -- Officials in Okaloosa county report that since September 1st, 2015 there have been seven overdose deaths attributed to heroin or the synthetic opiate, fentanyl. According to Northwest Florida Daily News, the county with only an estimated 100,000 residents has experienced at least seventeen overdose deaths related to heroin and fentanyl. Authorities state the number may be higher and adds at least three non-fatal heroin overdoses this year.
