(Health-NewsWire.Net, December 11, 2015 ) A research conducted on cancer patients revealed that gardening can help them to find control in their life and turn on towards positivity. Researcher Ceri Phelps from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Swansea in Britain lead the study.
Seven women who were suffering from breast cancer were called for cultivating and customizing their own indoor garden for a period of three months. They began with a bowl, few compost and three starter plants which they took home and made sure that they attended to it everyday.
At the concluding phase, the women reported about their feelings. One women claimed that it was really beneficial for her while other few quoted that gardening helped them reflect on feelings of positivity, meaning towards life and a sense of self-control.
Gardening in all senses, be it indoor gardening or outdoor gardening can benefit a lot. Taking care of plants, growing rich flowers and herbs gives us a motherly feel while encouraging us internally to emerge strongly as never before. It also helps us to accept the fact of life and thus assisting in having a positive outlook.
