(Health-NewsWire.Net, May 16, 2016 ) Truro, Cornwall -- Concept2Commerce recently shared an article that gives light to asthma beliefs that most people cling to and the facts about the fable. The article shared was from the Healthy Children website and the whole article's source is the from the book Guide to Your Childs Allergies and Asthma.
There are a lot of people that are knowledgeable about asthma but some still believe in old fables about the disease. The list here are some of the most common fables and the facts about it.
The first fable is that Asthma comes and goes. The fact is that asthma is often an inflammatory condition that is always in the airways. Even when an asthmatic is not having problems with his breathing it is still there. Asthma can be controlled with medications and prevention but the underlying condition never goes away.
The second fable is that Asthma is an emotional disorder; it's "all in the mind". With advanced medical technology it is easy see that asthma is a lung disease and has nothing to do with the brain. In some cases symptoms may get worse when an asthmatic is having emotional stress but it is clear that asthma occur through physiological mechanisms, not emotional ones.
Another fable is that children grow out of asthma. The fact is that ost people who have asthma are born with it and keep it for life. Although many children get better when they grow up and their asthma appears to go away, asthma can return in adulthood.
